The Mission Statement of Concordia Lutheran School

Concordia Lutheran School educates and prepares students for their eternal life as

well as their Christian life on earth.

STATEMENT OF CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

Applying Law and Gospel to all aspects of life and learning is a vital component of Concordia congregation’s mission. As a congregation, our mission is stated in the following:

"To Know Christ and Make Him Known"

Where God's People come together to

WORSHIP-GROW-CARE-SHARE

As an important ministry of Concordia Lutheran Church, our Christian Day School helps to fulfill the mission of our congregation and its four functions:

Worship, Grow, Care, Share

WORSHIP is done in many ways as part of what we do at Concordia. Children are helped to grow in their personal prayer lives, learning to pray privately and corporately when the occasion arises or needs occur.

Teachers provide a Christian model by leading worship in school, by faithfully attending congregational worship and by participating in other aspects of congregational worship life.

Students participate and lead worship in their rooms and in chapel. They praise God through hymns and various liturgical forms common to Lutheran Christians. Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and His worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth. John 4:23-24 GROW – Students are provided a well-balanced educational experience within a Christ-centered environment, and come to understand they are God’s creation and he has a purpose for their lives. Students are taught the demands of God’s Law and are comforted by the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ. They receive encouragement and instruction to live in service to Christ and others.

Through the solid instruction of basic curricular subject matter, the students of Concordia Lutheran School develop their God-given talents. Using their God-given abilities, students and teachers strive for excellence as they use effective, up-to-date learning and teaching materials. Students are prepared to become responsible managers of their talents in a joy-filled Christian life. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior
