Academics

At Concordia, Christ is at the center of all learning. From the first questions of early childhood to the exciting discoveries of middle school, our academics inspire curiosity, challenge students, and prepare them for what’s next. 

Preschool

We believe that young children are unique individuals, created by God, naturally full of wonder and enthusiasm. It is our mission to instill in children a love for God’s word and a lifelong passion for Jesus Christ.

Concordia Lutheran Preschool provides a Christ-centered educational environment that nurtures spiritual, academic, physical, social and emotional growth leading to a life of service and commitment to God. 

         Growing & Learning

  • Social/Emotional

  • Fine/Gross Motor Skills- learning through play and hands-on activities

  • Language- letter recognition and sound

  • Christian Faith- daily Jesus time and weekly chapel

  • Handwriting-building a foundation with emphasis on letter formation

  • Weekly Specials- Music, Library and P.E. once per week

  • Full Day Enrichment- students receive afternoon instruction relating back to morning curriculum

Elementary

Our elementary program makes a joyful transition from foundational early childhood skills to independent critical thinking. As students enter upper elementary, in 4th & 5th grade, we intentionally strenghten their habits to ensure a confident, smooth transition to middle school.

Kindergarten

Kindergarten is an exciting year of growth, discovery, and learning. Our full day program provides a nurturing, engaging environment where students build strong academic foundations while developing confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning. Through hands-on experiences and purposeful instruction, kindergarten students are encouraged to explore, ask questions, and grow as learners.

           Key Learning Areas

  • Phonics/Reading- letter/sound relationships, small group work and nightly reading at home

  • Math-counting, patterns, shapes, addition and subtraction

  • Handwriting-move from letter formation to basic writing skills

  • Christian Faith- daily lesson with story and activity, weekly chapel, memory work

  • Weekly Specials- Music, P.E. (2x/week) Library, Art and STEM

  • Assessments- quarterly report cards

Middle School

As students enter middle school, they experience a season of significant intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual growth. They are encouraged to explore their interests through elective classes, take greater ownership of their education, and develop the confidence, independence, and skills needed to thrive as they prepare for high school and beyond.
